Duh!!!! - You Forgot My Raincoat

I like to go for a good walk after my Saturday swims with my friend Bre. That's my mom drying my butt.

Anyways, it's been pretty much raining the past week and today it was raining again. But my mom didn't have time to pack up my stuff, so she left it to my dad to do all that and guess what? Yup, he brings everything else except my raincoat. So my dad being the big whiz with innovation and stuff, decides to make do with a wind-breaker that he'd been wearing and viola, a raincoat of sorts. It doesn't work very well but I guess it's the thought that counts. My dad says it's interesting how water always finds the most sensitive places to make wet so that you're the most uncomfortable you can be.

This is not going to get me into GQ dad.

There's water running down my leg.

My fluffiness is gone.

I think my butt's wet again. Actually everything is wet again.

Oh, thinking of drier days gone by.

What's the weather like at your house?

  1. Sam we have had loads of rain and it is becoming chilly. We hope today will be a nice day but so far it isn't looking too hopeful.

Happy Sunday to you and your family.

    Molly, Taffy, Monty and Winnie.

  2. That was so sweet of your dad to share his wind-breaker with you, Sam, even if it didn't keep you dry. We hope there was a nice big warm fluffy towel waiting for you when you got home.
It's 32 degrees at our house this morning and it's going up to 50 today. It's the perfect weather!

    Love ya lots,
    Mitch and Molly

  3. you give new meaning to the term water spanial - you is water logged I think - hope your wheelies don't get bogged in the mud!

  4. It hasn't rained here since April so we have no need for raincoats which seem to have disappeared anyway.

  5. Howdy Sam, bad luck about not having your raincoat. At least your Dad tried, bless him, hehehehe. Our weather yesterday was really really hot and Rory didn't like it at all. Today we have it a bit cooler with a little rain so that's nice. Take care mates. No worries, and love, Stella and Rory

  6. I think your dad did a fantastic job Sam, but somehow you don't look all that happy about it. I know its a soggy part of the year for you, but you do live in a beautiful place! Just pretend you're a non-vascular plant, getting all your moisture buy osmosis. That's what I used to do when I lived in the Pacific NW, and it always made me enjoy the wetness.

  7. We've had lotsa rain here. Glogirly walked to the voting place today and got stuck in a downpour! Gotta look WAY cuter wet than she does!
    ; ) Katie

  8. Your dad had a great idea!! I would take the rain if I had leaves lying around like that! Here in Texas we are still wearing shorts and we dont get to see the pretty fall colors like that! Stay dry buddy!

  9. Hello Sam and Fur-Siblings (Owen Jetta, Tuvia). We have just found out that we have been paired with you for the Christmas Gift Exchange this year. 10. Sam! O hai. U are brave to get wet like that. I hope u are nice and fluffy again. :)

  11. Oh Sammy, we love you. You poor baby all that rain getting your parts WET> BUT they tried to help - so guess that's worth something. So glad you stopped by to visit us. HOping we get back to blogging soon. We have missed everyone!

  12. You’re one cool dude, Sam! You still had the energy to take a walk after a swim. Very athletic! Next time, when you go swimming, coincide the time with the rain. That way, you’d only have to dry once. :D Or use a blow dryer instead. You can avoid matting that way.
