Cool nights, warm days

Hi everyone, it's almost the end of a great long week-end up here in Canada. And for a change, the weather has been great with each day sunnier and warmer than the day before. Today it was over 70 degrees F. or about 21 degrees C. during the day. But overnight, with clear skies, the temperature drops down to the low to mid-30's F. so that there's dew on the grass. Can you see the white frost on the grass behind me?

Things even smell different when they're cold and a bit frosty. Smells like ice wine dad.

Best of all. I can create sidewalk art with my wet wheels and feet.

The cherry blossoms are all out too.
I hope that everyone has a great week. Smiles.

A Family In The Sun

Hi everyone, it's been relatively nice outside, sunny with a few patchy clouds but brrrr....it's still chilly at only 49 degrees F. or about 9 degrees C so we're still wearing our little coats. We hope that wherever you are in the world, that you and your family are all well. Here's a quick photo montage of our furry family.
We wish you all peace.

Westminster Quay

There's a really nice boardwalk that my dad sometimes takes me to, where I can walk along the Fraser River and see working tugs that pull logs and boats. There's also lots of other dogs and people to meet and places where I can sniff.

Main Market Area

Some waterfront condos

Paddle Wheeler Boat

Tug Boats

Hey, what's that over there?

Dad!!! Let go of my leash. Those are big, fat Canada Geese.

Because my dad was holding me back, I couldn't get them in time and they hopped into the pool. My dad was really worried that I was going to go in after them. But I can swim dad. Yes, probably while I'm in my wheelchair too. I was barking up a storm but they got away. Boo dad. You owe me a bag of treats for this!

Come on back. I'm sure some of my friends would like the taste of goose!

And so ends another day on the coast. We hope that everyone had a nice weekend.

Where Are Those Pesky Ducks?

We went for a long walk yesterday that included a trip past a drainage ditch where I sometimes see a pair of ducks paddling along in the murky water. I like to bark at them from the little bridge as it's impossible for me to get down to the edge of the ditch because the shoreline is so overgrown with brambles.

Okay, where are you guys?

I don't see any ducks dad.

Nope, they haven't been up on the bridge.

Nope, they're not on the other side of the walkway either.

Okay let's go dad, maybe we can check again later.
We hope that everyone had a pleasant weekend.

It's Frosty 'Ol Me

Hi everyone, we've been enjoying some nice weather - mostly clear blue skies and daytime temperatures near 50 degrees (yes, that's considered warm). But of course, sometimes that results in clear skies overnight when the temperatures plummet to around freezing. So in the morning, when I go out for my morning walkie, there's frost all around. See the frosty grass behind me?

Hmmm...frozen pee.

I hope that everyone has a good day.

My friend Taz

My friend Taz left the care of his mom and his other furry siblings last Thursday and they're all heart-broken. You see Taz and I both have wheelchairs from Eddie's Wheels and Taz's mom, Kerry found me on Eddie's Wheels' FB page. And unlike the movie Twins with Arnold and Danny, we really looked like "twins", with the exception of my white chest patch and left front foot.

Taz was found by his mom in a park about 11-1/2 years ago and he's been with her ever since. Taz's ancestry is kind of unknown so his mom asked my peeps what my background was (American Cocker Spaniel and Affenpinscher - that's what the people who rescued and kept my mom said). His mom said that when Taz's fur grows out he's a "Wooly Mammoth", just like me.

We would have gone on walkies together but Taz lives in Michigan and I'm out in Vancouver, on Canada's westcoast so we never made it. Anyways, I'd really appreciate if you would leave a message below and we'll send them to Taz's mom.

Thank you.

ps. No more "Rainbow Bridge" crossings this year. We've had enough already.

A family day out in the sunshine

It's been raining pretty much non-stop for the last three days here and even born and raised Vancouverites are pretty tired of all the rain. And so today, we finally had the sun come out and while it's still a bit cool outside, we're crazy happy to be outside and dry. Even some of the crocuses made it through the rain.

Here's my sister Tuvia. She's very happy to be dry.

Oh, she wanted me to show you one of her favorite necklaces.

Okay Tuvia, quit "hogging" the camera.

Here's my brother Owen, he's got really nice ears too.

Here's my other brother, Jetta.

Woofs

We hope that you had a wonderful day too, wherever in the world you might be. Woofs and peace.
