Christmas 2017 Photoshoot

Our favorite photographer (not my mom or dad), Kathy Lui was back this year to do our annual photo-shoot. My dad had to work that day so my mom supervised and decorated the house a bit. My mom said that the photo session went well this year with less stress (maybe because my dad was away working). Ha ha dad...

A New Coat

My dad bought me a new coat for the winter. It's got a faux fur collar and down and feathers inside and a great warm fleece pile that's next to my fur.

So Sam, what do you think?

Well dad, it's very nice and cosy...

But it's a little warm for today.

Let's go home and get the lighter jacket. Okay Sam. But the jacket does look good on you buddy.

We Remember Wupper

My mom and dad have that "far-away" look again in their eyes again. It's that stare...it's as though they can see something just over the horizon, that zone between the visible and invisible. Thirteen years ago, they lost their first kid. His name was Wupper and he was a "problem child" - opinionated, vocal, rascally, playful and hard of hearing. Mom and dad miss still miss their first boy. The front porch light is on again. Good night Wupper. You can visit anytime. Love mom and dad.

We Remember Max

Today's the 13th anniversary of my mom and dad's first big Sheltie kid. Max stood much taller than the standard sized Shelties. He was a bit of a recluse, often hiding in the large closet when he was inside the house. He lived a great 15 years with mom and dad. It seems like it was a long time but as we all know, it's never long enough.

We love and miss you Max. We'll have the porch light on for you tonight.

Flower Power

Hey dad??!!...

Yes Tuvia, what's up?? Do you remember "flower power"?

No, not really. I was pretty young when that stuff was happening. Why do you ask?

Well because Sam's been sticking his head into the bushes again and he's now wearing flowers...

That's very nice Sam. Wait until the girls see you...

It's been 13 years and we still miss you...

It's been thirteen years since my great uncle Max passed away and my peeps still miss him. I can always tell when it's the anniversary of his passing because my dad gets that "far away look" in his eyes and he'll slowly walk over and flick the switch to turn on the light over the front door so that Max can look down from heaven and see his home. We miss you buddy. Be good. Love mom and dad.

Pssst...chickens

Hey Sam, I know where some chickens are. Would you like to go see them? Okie dokie, let's go.

Hey, I can smell them but I'm not tall enough to see them. Can you lift me up dad?

Oh wow. That's so cool chickens in the city. We never really see "live" chickens very often.

We usually see them as delicious freeze dried nuggets (Whole Life)

Sam Says "Hi"

Hello everyone,

I realize that I haven't been around much, so I thought that I'd at least do a quick post and say "hello" with a photo taken by Shelley Dube. Thank you. I hope that you're all well.

Sorry Kirsten...

Sorry Kirsten, we know that you are a little sentimental about cute
stuffed things and we were a little rough with the lamb stuffies...

They kind of had the stuffies pulled out of them

So, we got some more...

Okay, Sam and Owen. You guys promised that you would be nice to these ones.

Ah, sure dad...

Sorry Kirsten :(

Recent Vancouver Snowfall

Hey Sam, it's starting to snow again. No kidding dad. Are you trying to be "Captain Obvious"?

The neighborhood is covered in snow.

Even the palm trees are covered

Sam says "good  luck" with the street cleaning.

Well it'll take them quite some time to clear the streets

Tuvia, you'll get a cold belly.

Come on let's head inside and sit by the fire that mom's started.
